Cancellation and No-Show Policy

At H.O.P.E Professional Counseling, we strive to provide high-quality, consistent therapy that truly supports our clients and their families. To ensure we can continue offering this level of service, we have a cancellation and no-show policy. This policy is designed to balance the needs of all our clients and provide you with the best possible experience.

Understanding Cancellation Fees

When you book an appointment, we reserve that specific time slot exclusively for you, including preparation for your needs. Each professional in our practice has a limited number of appointments available daily and weekly. When an appointment is canceled, it not only means that time is left unfilled but also impacts our ability to offer timely support to other clients.

Cancellation Fee Policy

Charging a cancellation fee helps us remain operational without raising fees for those who do attend their appointments. Our policy is as follows:

- 24-Hour Notice: We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer your slot to someone on our waitlist.

- Cancellation Fee: If you are unable to provide 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of 65.00 $ USD will be charged, unless there are exceptional circumstances. If we manage to fill your canceled slot from our waitlist, you will not be charged the cancellation fee.

- Waivers: We understand that genuine illness or emergencies may arise. If you are a regular client and need to cancel due to such reasons, we may, at our discretion, waive the cancellation fee. We do not want to penalize anyone for being unwell, and we want you to focus on your recovery without added stress.

Impact on Therapy

Frequent cancellations can affect the effectiveness of your therapy. Consistency is crucial for successful therapeutic outcomes. Regular therapy sessions are necessary for meaningful progress. When sessions are frequently canceled this can hinder your progress.

Alternative Arrangements

If you are struggling to attend appointments or need assistance in finding a more convenient time, please discuss this with your therapist or our receptionist. We are committed to supporting you and will do our best to accommodate your needs.
